Optimal storage temperature: 0°C Relative humidity: 95% RH or more Garlic has no chilling injury. As long as it is above the freezing point (close to 0°C), the lower the temperature, the longer the shelf life. Similar to other leafy vegetables, garlic also requires high relative humidity to avoid dehydration withering and loss. Although truncated garlic has a small leaf area, weight loss is less than that of the pruning, but storage above 0°C is often due to wound infection and rot, the leaves tend to yellow, and the storage period shortens. Therefore, the truncated garlic must be sold in the short term and it cannot be stored for a long time. If you want to store it for a long time, it is best to store the whole garlic at low temperature and make a little repair (such as truncated tail) before sale to obtain better quality.
