Wheat in heading stage focuses on control of head blight
Reminder: Thiophene and other pesticides are superior to carbendazim in the control of head blight.
Chen Yonglai, Baidu Town, Dafeng City, came to the telephone and said that wheat was eared, and it was necessary to use drugs to prevent pests and diseases.
In wheat heading and flowering, it is important to use drugs to control wheat scab. The disease occurs every year in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, and the incidence of continuous rainy weather in wheat heading is even more serious. The incidence of field crops generally reduced by 10-20%, severely reduced by 80-90%, and even granules are not received. The disease mainly occurred in the flowering stage of wheat. At the beginning of the disease, water-stained brown spots with unclear water spots appeared on the glume of the spikelets, and then gradually spread to the entire spikelets to make the spikelets yellow. Usually after the onset of a spikelet, other spikelets in the upper part of the diseased spikelet also rapidly die, failing to solidify. When wet, a pink mold layer is produced on the diseased ear, and blue-black small particles are produced.
In the spring when the temperature is high and the rain is long, the bacteria multiply and spread to the wheat ears with rain and wind. Under the conditions of high temperature and high humidity, moldy layers can be quickly formed on the wheat ears. The pathogens on the moldy layer also wind and rain to other wheat plants. spread. In general, head blight damage is mainly caused by an infection at the flowering stage, and it will be re-infested in rainy years. The wheat is most susceptible to disease within 20 days after full heading; the infection rate during the flowering stage is the highest. During this period, the temperature is above 15°C and there are more rainy days, and the disease may become popular. When the wheat heading and flowering period meets more than three consecutive days of rainy weather, there is a possibility of re-emergence; in case of fine weather, scab is generally not heavy. Low-lying, soil-viscosity, poor drainage, excessive nitrogen fertilizer application, poor ventilation, and densely populated wheat fields are susceptible to disease.
The use of high-efficiency, safe agents for spray protection during wheat flowering is a key measure for the control of head blight. Generally, once the initial flowering period (10-20% of Yanghua) is applied once, better control effects can be achieved. The heading stage is fine and the temperature is high. Wheat stands on the side of the head to raise the flowers. It can be used at the full heading stage. The heading stage has low temperature and less sunshine. The wheat firstly blooms after heading, and it should be used during the initial flowering period; the heading period should be even rainy, scab. When the epidemic is possible, spray rather sooner rather than later, do not wait until the weather is fine and then spray, should be the rain gap more than spray control. Use at least twice a year for severe illness and each interval should be short. In areas where the disease is perennially popular, it is necessary to spray protection during the wheat flowering period to ensure that the flowering period is not affected by the bacteria. Whether the second drug is used or not depends on the variety resistance, disease development, and weather conditions. The rain should be sprayed after 5-7 days after spraying to improve the control effect.
Carbendazim is an old drug used for the control of wheat scab on production, and is generally sprayed with 50% carbendazim WP 80 g or 40% carbendazim suspension 100 g/mu. According to studies by Nanjing Agricultural University and other institutions, a large number of strains of head blight resistant to carbendazim have been found in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, and carbendazim alone is not effective in controlling scab. The use of a combination of carbendazim and triadimefon and other agents, as well as a single dose of thiophanate-methyl and its combination with other agents, has a better control of head blight. In addition, a research report stated that the use of a broad-spectrum fungicide, copper noble, can effectively prevent head blight, and spraying this drug in the rain gap also has good control effects.
