The requirements of light for upscale ornamental fish

Light is also very important for tropical fish. It can be said that no tropical fish can survive. Light has three main functions for feeding tropical fish.

Light is the most important factor for photosynthesis of all plants. Without light, plants cannot carry out photosynthesis and they cannot absorb carbon dioxide and produce oxygen. It cannot maintain its own survival. Light is important and necessary for aquatic plants. However, there are also certain limits. When the light is too strong or the light is too long, the branches and leaves of aquatic plants will grow green and affect the photosynthesis of aquatic plants. However, if the light is too weak or the light is too short, the branches and leaves of aquatic plants will suffer from too little photosynthesis. And turn yellow or even die.

So how can we make water plants receive light more reasonably? If you have a fish tank in a sunny room, it is best to receive an hour or so of sunlight each morning and evening when the sunlight is not enough. Do not receive direct sunlight. If there is a room with no sunlight, fish tanks should be illuminated with colored lights. Lights are usually irradiated with 60-watt incandescent bulbs or 40-watt fluorescent lamps for about six hours per day.

The growth and reproduction of tropical fish also require illumination. Light can make tropical fish grow faster; make the fish more colorful; and shorten the reproductive cycle of fish. Tropical fish need the same light time and intensity as aquatic plants. The third role of lighting is to facilitate our viewing. If there is no light or the light is too weak, we cannot see the scene in the aquarium and we cannot watch it.
