Spiny-breasted frog breeding
5-September is the breeding season of spiny-breasted frogs, spawning three times a year. Female frogs produce about 1,000 eggs each year, and they are usually produced on flowing roots or stones. It is sometimes attached to stones or aquatic plants in the ditch. The eggs are larger and more viscous, and many eggs adhere to objects that have been roped together or attached to water. The fertilized eggs, under natural conditions, have a slower embryonic development and begin to metastasize by 22 days. The dragonfly lives in a large stone crevice or gravel pile in a mountain stream puddle.
The spine-breasted frog has a high reproductive reproductive rate. Every year from May to August is the spawning season. Before spawning of female frogs, spawning ponds should be set up in Sheung Shui, and 300-500 frogs should be placed. After half a month of incubation, they should be laid into eggs and hatched in cages for cultivating fish species. Each nesting box can hold 20 to 30 groups of breeding frogs, and the proportion of males and females is 1:1. For small-scale breeding, just place the frog 15 centimetres in depth and place it in a table-sized pool. In the spawning tanks (pools), rice straw or wheat husks should be placed as egg attachments. When the water temperature reaches 10 to 16°C, the frogs start mating and they lay eggs 10 days later. Incubation can be done with a cement tank or cage, with water depth of about 15 cm, and egg mass of 4 - 5 pellets per square meter of water. At a water temperature of 16 °C, 4-4-5 can be hatched.
