How to use the film properly
The shed film is the most important covering material for the cultivation of flowers and vegetables. Currently used in the production of films are polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, vinyl acetate and other three categories, are soft plastic film. From the mechanical strength point of view, the best PVC, followed by vinyl acetate and polyethylene; from the perspective of light transmission performance, vinyl acetate is better, followed by polyethylene and polyvinyl chloride; insulation is the best PVC Vinyl acetate and polyethylene are secondary. Some common shed films on the market are now introduced for reference by the majority of flower farmers.
1. Polyvinyl chloride non-dropping film Adding surfactant to polyvinyl chloride makes the condensed water not stay on the surface of the shed film, and the air humidity in the shed is reduced, which can reduce the occurrence of flower diseases in the greenhouse. It warms up quickly in sunny days and is most suitable for flowering in greenhouses, vegetables in winter and early maturing to promote cultivation.
2. The new film of polyvinyl chloride ordinary film has good light transmission, night heat preservation, high temperature and sunshine resistance, good elasticity, low elongation, and aging resistance, and can be used continuously for about one year. However, as the time goes by, the vacuuming is serious, the cleaning is not easy, the light transmittance is significantly reduced, and the infrared transmittance is low. Easy to stick, weak moisture permeability, lighter droplets, poor low temperature resistance. Suitable for areas where nighttime heat preservation requirements are high.
3. Polyethylene multi-functional composite membrane This membrane has the functions of no drip, heat preservation, light transmission and other functions, and some products can also block UV light, inhibit the formation of sclerotinia disease ascitic discs and gray mold conidia, to control flowers, Vegetable sclerotia and gray mold have obvious effects. Insulation is better than polyethylene anti-aging no-drop film.
4. Polyethylene Longevity Drip-free Film Adding anti-aging agents and non-dripping surfactants to polyethylene film, the use of more than two years, no condensation phenomenon. Thickness of 0.1 to 0.12 mm, about 100 to 130 kg per acre, suitable for use in various greenhouses, can be covered in the greenhouse and the greenhouse as a two-layer membrane, greenhouse winter continuous cover cultivation.
5. Polyethylene light-adjusting film is made of low-density polyethylene resin and added with light conversion agent. It has characteristics of longevity, aging resistance and good light transmittance. Its thickness is 0.08 to 0.12 mm and it can be used continuously for more than one year. The amount per mu is 60 to 100 kg. Strong light transmission, good heat preservation, warm up in sunny days, and heat preservation at night. Suitable for plastic greenhouse cultivation in winter and for the use of two-layer film.
6. Diffuse reflection film is a kind of crystal nucleus diffusely reflected by sunlight in polyethylene, which can inhibit the penetration of normal sunlight, reduce the high temperature peak in the shed before and after noon, and prevent the high temperature hazard. With the decrease of the sun, the light transmittance of the sun is relatively increased. Sooner or later, sunlight enters the shed as much as possible to increase the light intensity and temperature. Good heat preservation at night and high accumulated temperature.
7. Vinyl Acetate Film The weatherability, tensile strength, adhesion and light transmission of the film are all significantly stronger than that of polyethylene. It can be mixed with various additives to prolong the no-drop anti-fog period and is suitable for covering materials in cold regions. At present, there are composite film products produced by mixing polyethylene and vinyl acetate.
The way to distinguish between PVC and PE is simple: After a piece of film is ignited, PVC burns to release the pungent odor of hydrogen chloride, while the polyethylene burns with molten wax dripping. PVC has a specific gravity of 1.3 and sinks in water. Polyethylene is 0.9 and floats on water.
