Yannong 5158 wheat is a drought-resistant, cold-resistant, disease-resistant, lodging-resistant, high-quality, and high-yielding white wheat variety developed and selected by Yantai Academy of Agricultural Sciences.

According to reports, 5158 mu of farmers are between 506.5-594 kg. Half-winter sex, dark green leaves, about 82 cm plant height, seedlings erect, get up fast, strong tiller, resistance to sheath blight, head blight and powdery mildew ability, high resistance to rust. The number of effective panicles per acre is about 420,000, and the effective tillering rate is 44.4%. Each panicle is solid about 37, and the grain weight is 40.4 grams. Yannong 5158 was among the 30 semi-winter test cultivars in the 2008-2009 wheat display test, and won the first prize with an average yield of 549 kg per mu.
