Demand for poultry in Northern Ireland is expected to increase

Recently, a well-known Swiss GRIA Meat Club released a research report that predicted Northern Ireland’s demand for poultry products will continue to grow.

The report predicts that the world’s demand for most meat will increase, mainly due to the world’s growing population. However, in all meat products, poultry meat products will account for the largest proportion of the market because poultry meat products are the cheapest and easiest to produce. At present, developing countries (especially China) and EU countries have a strong desire for “more expensive and shorter growth cycle species”, which will greatly increase the demand for poultry meat.

The report also pointed out the current threats to the meat industry, opportunities for industrial development, and long-term forecasts of the future.
