Researchers at Zhejiang University have found that iron levels are too high and hereditary hemochromatosis can cause "iron death" in liver cells and macrophages. At the same time, "cystine glutamate transporter" can inhibit liver iron death. The discovery will provide new ideas for liver iron damage and prevention of hemochromatosis.
