Yaskawa Electric introduces two devices that improve rejuvenation efficiency

On June 1, 2016, Yaskawa Electric launched a clinical research model that can provide rehabilitation for the rehabilitation of upper extremity motor dysfunction, and an ankle that can provide rehabilitation for the rehabilitation of people with walking disabilities. The verification device (Fig. 1, 2) of the auxiliary device is mainly sold to medical rehabilitation institutions.

The function of the upper limb training device AR2 is to give vibration stimulation and electrical stimulation to the muscles used during exercise at an appropriate timing, to assist the automatic movement of the shoulders and the elbows, and to improve the rehabilitation effect. By appropriately adjusting the load amount, it is possible to perform repeated training in a short time.

Yaskawa Electric has been working with Japanese medical institutions to develop upper limb training devices. The new model reflects the need to mine in clinical research at the rehabilitation site. Compared with the previous models, a variety of training modes are prepared in consideration of the daily activities of the user. At the same time, in order to be able to train according to the user's recovery situation, the hand tool has also been improved.

The ankle assist device is a person who causes a half-length non-constrained walking disorder such as a cerebrovascular disease, and realizes natural walking by assisting the movement during walking (Fig. 3). In the past, rehabilitation relied on safety, and the ankle-fixing device was used for walking training at an angle that the toes could not be hung. The ankle assist device determines the state of walking (supporting foot or hanging foot) based on the information of the foot pressure sensor, and assists the pedal flexion and dorsiflexion by the motor to reduce the burden of the step (Fig. 4).

The bottom dorsiflexion angle of the ankle joint can be adjusted according to the walking state of the user. This makes it possible to repeat walking exercises safely and for a long time. The device and controller are very light, a total of about 1kg, and the design is also considerate and easy to wear.
