Pre-increase of medical equipment imports in Peru by 11%

In 2010, the total imports of medical equipment such as nuclear magnetic resonance, X-ray, ultrasound and laparoscope in Peru exceeded US$194 million, an increase of 8.9% over 2009.

He believes that Peru has not yet established a sound industrial system of medical devices, most medical equipment and hospital equipment imported from abroad, so huge Peruvian medical equipment market space.

At present, the main suppliers of medical equipment in Peru are the United States and European countries. They account for about half of Peru's medical equipment import market, followed by Japan, China and other countries.
