2 Seed treatment. In summer, the temperature is high and the moisture in the soil evaporates quickly. In order to emerge early and full seedlings, the seeds must be treated before sowing, that is, the peel is crushed, and then the seeds are soaked to accelerate germination. You can soak the seeds in cold water for 4-5 hours, put the seeds in a cotton bag, and place them in a dark and humid environment at a temperature of about 15°C for 7 days (such as in a cellar or a crock). When the seeds are white, they are sown.

3 Soil preparation and fertilization. Choose loam land with fertile soil quality, water and fertilizer conservation, convenient drainage and irrigation, and good ventilation, and a plot where coriander has not been planted in the past 3 years. Apply 3,000 kilograms of farmyard manure and 30 kilograms of high-nitrogen ternary compound fertilizer per mu. Spread the fertilizer evenly and rotate the land to make 5-6 meters long flatbeds to be planted.

4 Fine seeding. The sowing method is often used in production, and enough water is poured in the border before sowing. After the water seeps out, mix the seeds with sand and spread them evenly, and then cover with 1-2 cm of fine sand. Suppress it once with a hoe after all the broadcast. Cover it with old grass thatch, straw and other coverings, which can keep moisture and cool down. Generally, all seedlings can be produced about 7 days after sowing, and the cover will be removed when most of the seedlings are unearthed.

5 Field management. Coriander is afraid of high temperature and strong light, and where conditions permit, you can consider covering the cultivation border with a shading net to cool down and shading, which is beneficial to the growth of coriander, increase yield, improve quality, and improve planting benefits. For the fields without closed herbicides, combine with cultivating and hoeing at the seedling stage to remove weeds in the field in time to prevent contention with coriander for fertilizer and water. The principle of fertilizer and water management during the growth period of coriander is no drought and no watering, less watering at the seedling stage, and sufficient water and fertilizer supply during the peak growth period. Topdressing depends on the level of soil strength, combined with watering, topdressing urea or nitrogen and potassium fertilizers are the main ones, generally 15 kg each time, topdressing twice.

6 Control pests. The main pest of coriander in summer is aphids, which are extremely common under high temperature and drought conditions.
