What should I check when the right-angle planetary reducer starts?
Most of the right-angle planetary reducers are mounted on stepper motors and servo motors to reduce the speed, increase the torque, and match the inertia. However, in order for the planetary reducer to be safer and safer to work, we must prepare and inspect the right-angle planetary reducer before starting.
(1) Check the insulation resistance between the windings of the geared motor and the winding to the ground (the casing) with a megger (commonly known as a shaker). Generally, for a geared motor with a rated voltage of 380V, it is measured with a 500V megger. The insulation resistance value should not be less than 0.5MΩ, otherwise it should be dried.
(2) Check before normal operation of right angle planetary reducer before starting
1. Check if the power supply voltage is normal, whether the three-phase voltage is balanced, and whether the voltage is too high or too low.
2. Check if the wiring of the line is reliable and the melt is damaged.
3. Check if the connection of the coupling is strong, whether the transmission belt is connected well, whether the transmission belt is tight or not, whether the unit transmission is sensitive, and whether there is abnormal phenomenon such as friction, jamming and swaying.
4. Check for debris or flammable items around the unit that interfere with operation!
These are the new installations of right-angle planetary reducers or the inspection items that must be done before long-term deactivation.
