ProTom International installs a three-chamber proton therapy system in China

ProTom International Holding Company has announced that it has signed a contract to purchase and install a proton therapy system with Boao Evergrande International Hospital in Hainan Province.
ProTom will equip Boao Evergrande International Hospital with its Radiance330® proton therapy system, which includes two rotating rack treatment rooms and a fixed beam treatment room.
Using FidelityTM beam scanning, Radiance330 offers advanced proton therapy with its precise pencil beam scanning and powerful integrated imaging. The Radiance330's compact modular design gives it the smallest footprint of the market, with full adaptability and customizability. The novel design of the Radiance 330 Synchronous Adder allows the system to generate fewer neutrons and operate more efficiently, producing less heat and power than other proton beam therapy systems. With the lowest capital and operating costs of any proton therapy technology, the Radiance 330 offers the industry's fastest return on investment.
Boao Evergrande International Hospital is located in Hainan Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Area and is scheduled to open in 2018. The hospital will focus on the treatment and prevention of cancer and will use the region's unique policies to bring advanced cancer treatment, equipment, technology and talent to China.
The central government has approved Boao Evergrande International Hospital to establish a proton therapy center. The proton therapy center will be the first proton therapy center in Hainan Province and is scheduled to open in late 2019.
It is expected that more than 2,000 patients will receive proton proton therapy each year at the Proton Therapy Center at Boao Evergrande International Hospital.
