Operation points (1) Dehydration and drying The corn yellow pulp separated from the production of corn starch is dehydrated by plate and frame filter press. The thick corn yellow pulp was obtained and then dried to reduce its moisture content to less than 12%. (2) Extraction The dried corn yellow pulp and petroleum ether are poured into the leaching vessel at a ratio of 1:3, stirred intermittently at room temperature, and extracted by standing for 2 to 3 hours. The upper layer is an organic phase containing pigments. (3) Concentrate The extract containing the pigment is extracted, concentrated in a constant pressure boiling water bath or distilled under reduced pressure in a water bath using a rotary evaporator until no distillate is obtained, orange-red sticky material is obtained, and cooled to room temperature. A semi-solid paste is then formed (the recovered solvent can be recycled for recycling). (4) Spray Drying The above-obtained oily substance was placed in a spray dryer and dried at 180 to 200°C to obtain a solid powdered zeolinin. This process is used to extract zeaxanthin up to 10% of the weight of the raw material. The liquid corn yellow pigment can be directly used, and the commonly used edible vegetable oil is dissolved and diluted to make a suspension preparation (content of 20% to 30%), and its pigment stability is enhanced, and at the same time, it prevents oxidation of carotene.
