Use and reference standards for drop testers

The drop test machine is used in the packaging and transportation industry, testing institutions, research institutes, etc. It is one of Haida's hair products. Sales in South China have been very good. Today, Haida technicians introduce its test methods and uses:

First, use

It is mainly used to simulate the free fall of unwrapped/packaged products during handling, and to examine the ability of the product to resist accidental impact. Generally, the drop height is based on the weight of the product and the probability of falling. The drop surface should be a smooth, hard, rigid surface made of concrete or steel.

Second, the drop test

For different international standards, even if the products are under the same weight, the drop height is not the same. For handheld products, most drop heights range from 100cm to 150cm. IEC recommends that 100cm should be satisfied for 2kg handheld products. Fall height is not damaged, MIL recommends a drop height of 122cm, Intel recommends a drop height of 150cm for handheld products (such as mobile phones). The severity of the test depends on the height of the drop, the number of drops, and the direction of the drop.

Third, the scope of business

1, computer: computer, display, host, computer components, medical equipment and other precision instruments, etc.

2. Electronic communication: mobile phones, radios, electronic communication components, etc.

3, electrical appliances: household appliances, lamps, transformers and other household electrical appliances;

4. Others: packing boxes, transportation equipment, etc.

Fourth, test reference standards:

1, GB/T 2423.8

2, ISTA

3. IEC60068-2-32

4, GB/T4857.5 and so on.
